This also includes our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, our associated companies as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006 and under US and Canadian laws. We operate the https://www.precision.io website and the Precision platform (hereinafter referred to as the “website”, “Website”, “site”, “Site”, “service” or “Service”). This notice sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us on our website, or in any other way (such as by email, telephone, or social media). We will process your personal information in accordance with the applicable data protection law and in accordance with this notice.

Who we are and what we do

We are a contingent workforce and human resources management platform. We collect the personal data of the following types of people to allow us to undertake our business:

  • Prospective and live client contact data;
  • Supplier contacts to support our services;
  • Employees, consultants, temporary workers;
  • Any other data necessary to carry out our legitimate business purpose;

Information you give to us - or we collect about you.

This is information about you that you give us by filling in forms on our site, on our software, or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. It includes information you provide when you register to use our site or software, to enter our database, subscribe to our services, attend our events, participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our site, enter a competition, promotion or survey, and when you report a problem with our site.

The information you give us, or we collect about you, may include your name, address, private and/or corporate e-mail address and phone number, financial information, compliance documentation and references verifying your qualifications and experience, and your right to work in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, or otherwise elsewhere in the world, curriculum vitae and photograph, links to your professional profiles available in the public domain e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, business Facebook or corporate website, and any other information necessary and essential to our business interests.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our service. How we use your personal information and the legal basis for doing so

As contingent workforce management platform, workers are onboarded to our platform by our clients for permanent employment, temporary worker placements, or independent professional contracts. The exchange of personal data of our candidates and our client contacts is a fundamental, essential part of this process. This includes verification of work authorization, banking details, time worked, and any other data required by federal and state regulations to be collected, verified, and stored by any employer.

To support employee and candidate career aspirations, and our clients’ resourcing needs, we require a database of candidate, employee, and client personal data containing historical information, as well as current information required for us to engage. To maintain, expand and develop our business, we need to record the personal data of prospective candidates, employees, and client contacts to deliver our ancillary services we need to carry out our employer of record services.

Other uses we will make of your data:

  • Use of our website;
  • to notify you about changes to our service;
  • to ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;

We will use this information:

  • to administer our site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;
  • to improve our site to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;
  • to allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so;

Our legal basis for the processing of personal information is our legitimate business interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sent.1, lit. f GDPR, although we will also rely on contract pursuant to Art. 6 (1), sent. 1 lit. b GDPR, legal obligation pursuant to Art. 6 (1), sent. 1 lit. c and consent for specific uses of data pursuant to Art. 6 (1), sent. 1 lit. a GDPR.

We will disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we will disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
  • If we, or substantially sell of all our assets, are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by the third party about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.

For the above purposes, we will rely upon contract pursuant to Art. 6(1) sent 1 lit b GDPR, legal obligation pursuant to Art. 6(1) sent 1 lit c GDPR, and necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1) sent 1 lit f GDPR.

Security

All information you provide to us is hosted with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password that enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features in an effort to prevent unauthorized access.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we may transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United States and process it there.   • Our knowledge of the workforce technology industry by country, sector and job role.

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Access to information

The Data Protection Act 1998 and the GDPR give you the right to access information held about you. We also encourage you to contact us to ensure your data is accurate and complete. Disclosure of your information inside and outside of the EEA

  • candidates for the purpose of arranging interviews and engagements;

  • analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimization of our site;
  • credit reference agencies, our insurance broker, compliance partners and other sub-contractors for the purpose of assessing your suitability for a role where this is a condition of us entering into a contract with you.
